Here’s a surprise: Carlos Beltran is sitting out tonight.
He’s not 100 percent hitting from the right side. All week Willie Randolph said Beltran wouldn’t be activated until he’s ready. He’s obviously not.
A strained oblique takes time anyway. It’s not April or May where there’s time to get better. Who’s to say Beltran can’t be re-injured and be out for the playoffs, assuming, of course, there is a playoffs?
Bad move

i agree bad move. god i hope green sits for easely 2nite.
Why is it a bad move??? Because if they wouldn’t have activated him they would have been shut out last night. Who would you have called up to replace Anderson yesterday. The great Ricky Ledee or Chip Ambres. I’ll take a Beltran batting lefty over anything healthy in New Orleans. Just think, guys on base and they put in a righty you have a very strong lefty off the bench tonite. Even better than David Newhan.
