Tom Glavine drove in the Mets’ run in the second with a single to center. You have to like that karma.
Now all he has to do is pitch all nine innings to make sure Mota doesn’t blow it.
Joe Morgan is absolutley brutal isnt he? Castillo has had some trouble on a couple pop ups b/c of the wind and Morgan says its b/c he’s played his whole career in the AL and has never experienced the wind at Wrigley. Now i guess i must have imagined those 8 or so seasons he played for the Marlins huh? And Castillo played in perhaps the most famous postseason series in Wrigley history in 2003. Terrible job by joe morgan.
Bad karma: Willie Randolf making any baseball related decision.
1) Why did he let Tom start the inning.
2) Why would you let Mota anywhere near a second Glavine lead.
This guy has an IQ of 80.
Bad Karma: Playing 2nd for the Mets.
What’s wrong with Castillo?
Gee, that Luis Castillo sure looks like a bust.
Whoever it was that was skewering him on this blog after he played ONE game, I hope you were watching Castillo tonight.
Four-for-five, two steals and a VERY alert tag up from first to second on a fly ball that helped a rally get started. Exactly the kind of player we need in our lineup.
Oh and by the way, after Castillo’s 2-for-16 start? He’s now 6 for his last 11.
And hearty congratulations to Tom Glavine. I’ve been rough on him when he has turned in some poor outings, so I’ll be effusive in my praise of him now. Bravo, Tom, you’ve been terrific. Keep that evil twin locked in the basement.
