There’s nothing wrong with Pedro Martinez, but even with a strong throwing performance two days ago, he’s not guaranteed to make a rehab start Tuesday. The had been saying that would be the next step after Thursday’s simulated game.
GM Omar Minaya thought Martinez looked strong in the 67-pitch simulated game, but hedged today on committing to a rehab game schedule.
“We’re not locked into anything,’’ Minaya said. “It could be five, six or seven days. The only thing we’re locked into is how he feels. We’ll evaluate him and see how he feels in the next couple of days.’’
