In-Game: Lawrence done; leaves with chance to win

August
2

Brian Lawrence is out of the game, pinch-hit for by Ruben Gotay in the sixth. He gave up three runs on eight hits with three strikeouts in five innings, acceptable by today’s standards.

He leaves as the pitcher of record on the positive side with a 5-3 lead after Damion Easley’s inside-the-parker. If nothing else, Lawrence pitched well enough to get the ball again.

I think Lawrence will be the go-to guy, at least until Pedro comes around.

And nice to see Easley chuggin’ around those bases for the insider the parker!
