For those thinking about trading Carlos Gomez, he’s on the disabled list and can’t be dealt.
John, cant he still be traded as a Player To Be Named later?
With all due respect, please don’t use those two words together again. I just put my defib away, no player out their is worth the Reyes of the outfield.
some rules are good…...this is one of them.
Anyone insane enough to trade Carlos Gomez isn’t able to understand the concept of the disabled list.
Anyone insane enough to trade Carlos Gomez has to wear velcro Nikes because they’re not capable of tying their own shoes.
Why would the Mets do something senseless like trade Carlos Gomez?
To Gil (RE: Trading Gomez)
I would hope they wouldn’t. I got a couple of posters who mentioned giving up Gomez and figured I would cut it off since it couldn’t happen.
I would give up Gomez before Martinez or Milledge, but would prefer to be greedy and keep all three. Last time I checked having three prospects wasn’t necessarily a surplus…
Player to be named later?
As others have mentioned, of course he can be traded. That’s one of the few PTBNL uses that isn’t hard to figure out.
The injury will scare teams off, as wrist injuries are a slow road back in terms of power, but it’s definitely within the rules for him to be dealt.
