Two steps forward, one step back. That’s been pretty much been the Mets’ MO this season. After winning the first two of this series, they were on the verge of a split. Totally unsatisfying.
Then they pulled off one of those games the players like to say are character builders. Billy Wagner went as far as to call it: “a big signature moment.”
That they rallied to win on the road is a real positive. This was a tough trip and the Mets went 4-3, and with a hit or two in a key spot could have won another here and one in San Diego.
A lot to be positive about. I’m sure you’ll agree.
