Jorge Sosa was hammered in his second start since coming off the DL. He looked good for two then just lost it.
Even so, it’s 6-4 in the sixth. The game is still winnable. I don’t see why they let Scott Schoeneweis in to load the bases. Once two are on they were in trouble enough.
If they are going to win today, Joe Smith will have to come through here.

Sosa looks like a fifth starter and Rocky Horror Picture Sho looks like… a guy who just shouldn’t be out there, yet again.
Say what you will about Gotay’s miscue but if Rocky doesn’t cough it up out there, that play might not have ever happened.
And Gotay got half of it back by setting up Beltran in a way Valentin probably wouldn’t have and A-Hern definitely wouldn’t have.
Milledge Beltran and Wright lookin’ great up at the dish, Castro and Gotay contributing as well.
Gotta stick with Milledge and Gotay, win lose or draw, both for today and tomorrow. Anderson and Green are both gonna be great bench pieces for the rest of this year, though.
Here’s hoping Pedro and Alou come back healthy and the Mets can find one more bullpen arm so that you’re only worrying about Mota OR Rocky Horror imploding… not both of ‘em.
I’ll probably be at the game tomorrow, I hope I get to see a big win.
Everyone jumps on Show so quickly, he went five straight appearances without giving up a run, struggles today and its back to the trading block with him. He wasn’t great by any means, and helped Sosa deepen the hole, but its not like Gotay’s throw helped matters.
