You never know who’ll show up in a clubhouse, especially in a place like LA. Somebody passed out toy remote control helicopters. Carlos Beltran immediately had his up and flying, and sent it a few lockers down hovering over the head of the Post’s Mark Hale, who was talking with Jose Reyes.
It seems there’s not a Met who doesn’t have an iPod or a new cell phone. Aaron Heilman was showing off his new BlackBerry. Still, Shawn Green is the only one with an iPhone.
The visiting clubhouse in Dodger Stadium is kind of cramped. But off to the side adjacent to the hallway leading to the field there’s a computer table and a arcade-sized video game.
A few Mets were out for early hitting as promised, then back inside where they lounged on the coach and channel surfaced between the Boston-Chicago, Houston-Pittsburgh and Atlanta-St. Louis games.

CHannel surfing between baseball games?
Sounds like my life!
Hey John. Ever look into whether the Mets puts their scouting reports on the ipod or not?
Apparently other teams do. It seems to help hitters spot a hitch in their swing or to study the opposing pitcher.
