Hello from Minute Maid Park. This is a busy place to look at, like contrasting plaids. There’s a Fenway type wall in left, a slope in dead center like in old Crosley Field. On top of the wall is a locomotive (symbolic of being next to Union Station) with a coal car filled with oranges. This is the old part of town. You know this because on the old style light posts there are placards … “on this site was … ”
When I was in college I did an internship with the Houston Astros when they played in the Dome. The exploding scoreboard with the snorting bull was big thing back then. Of course, not as big as the rats and roaches. That part of the Houston lore is true.
As long as I was here I was always a damn Yankee. I never bought the boots or hat, but I did like the BBQ.
