HAHAHH Degaldo having an OFF OFF OFF year. Precious.
You were putting it mild. once again loduca and wright helped us win. "Keith" was saying that wright has become a lowball hitter. which he definitely has become.
why is DelGadaGo still batting cleanup? why?
sigh
John, nice clip. I would have added our hitting problems late in games stem from having "Fossil" Franco on the bench as our #1 pinch hitter. Not to mention, a big RBI threat "I am Through" Alou on the DL for weeks/months. Couple that with down years (like you said) from most of the team and the disappearance of "No Skillz" Delgado and we are scoring 2-3 runs per game a lot!
Solution, Cut Franco bring up Johnson or acquire Mike Sweeney. Though on WFAN yesterday, said Franco is his guy. Ughhh!!!!
Find out where we go with Alou. If out for the year acquire a corner OF. Though the rumored crop of Dunn, Dye, Winn and Ensberg do not intrigue me. Let's hope Alex Rios is put on the block!
Lastly, the pen. Since Schoenweis is basically untradeable, we can either DL him or make him the long man (ala Sele). Cut Sele. Bring up or acquire a reliever to take Sele's spot. Dave Williams will be ready soon. Or if we acquire a starter (Contreras?) move Sosa into the pen.
Steve, Delgado batted 5th not cleanup last night. Though, that is still too high. The way they are hitting, I would have switched him with Glavine.
I have a bad feeling about tonight that Wainwright is going to make Delgado and Beltran look silly with that curveball of his.
By the way, this smallball offense that we are playing won't fly in Philly, even with the Phils throwing Durbin, Happ and Kendrick as 3 of their 4 starters.
Was it 5th? I thought loduca was 2nd. then i saw wright. i dont know i was tired ;-]
Just read Robo Hernandez cleared waivers and the Indians released him. I am willing to bet Minaya goes back to this well once more.
Bye Bye Sele….
I am not a Met fan and watch them very rarely but from what I've seen I really don't think they are that good but that the National League is that bad.
As much as I don't like Reyes he is probably their best player.(I JUST THINK HE IS VERY COCKY AND THINKS THEIR IS NO 1 BETTER) IF HE CAN DO WHAT HE IS DOING FOR THE NEXT 4 OR 5 YRS THEN MAYBE HE CAN GET A LITTLE COCKY.
fair?
Um, so how often do you watch the mets?
When did Reyes say he was better than everyone else and where do you get cocky from? He is excitable. There is a majore difference.
Are you a Yankee fan perhaps?
Don't feed the troll Ed. Hopefully if we ignore him he will return to his home under a bridge.
John
Nice clip and it was right on the money. There are to many guys having average to below average seasons thus far. I am hopeful the slumping bats can only get better the second half. We all have seen what this team can do when firing on all cyclinders. I still think they need another quality bat in the lineup incase these guys cannot get it turned around. Bull pen help is needed as well, who is our for sure 8th inning guy? I think our starters will get us to the post season as long as they stay healthy.
