ANALYSIS
Tom Glavine is on his groove again, giving up just one run in his last two starts. He’s now at 297. Glavine said he has corrected the mechanical problem of muscling up on his pitches in losses to Detroit and the Yankees.
NOTES
-Carlos Gomez made a nice catch up against the wall against Juan Encarnacion in the fourth inning. Every day he’s showing something more.
-David Wright hit his 13th homer in the first to account for all the Mets’ scoring.
-Dave Williams pitched 6 1/3 innings in a rehab start for Triple-A New Orleans.
-Glavine’s one-hitter was the 30th in franchise history.

Am I the only one who thought that Gomez’ catch was a little overdramatic? With his height, I didn’t think he had to jump for that. I thought the running part was better than the jump. He makes Reyes look slow.
On the other hand, his catch against the Yankees was awesome.
Yeah,
I think his transition to the bigs is smoother than Milledge’s last year.
