The Mets might be one of the most active teams in the major leagues when it comes to community involvement. The team is coming out with. a cookbook of family favorite recipes.
Omar Minaya, Aaron Heilman, Tom Glavine and Carlos Delgado presented the finished product. I tried Glavine’s French Toast. Excellent.
The cookbook is available on-line at Mets.com, at select Stop & Shop stores and at Shea.
The book runs 12 bucks with all proceeds going to the Food Bank of New York City and Island Harvest.

Fantastic! Great idea, whomever came up with it.
Nothing from Le Grande Orange, Rusty Staub, in there?
To Bren (RE: Rusty)
Nope, but that would have been a great idea. Maybe he’ll bring the wine.
How about asking Seaver for some samples from his vineyard?
I can’t find where GourMets can be bought on-line on Mets.com. Can someone help me out in finding that.
I know it is July but I would like to purchase a GourMets cookbook online. Can someone help me find where I can purchase a cookbook? I would appreciate it very much. Carole
For those wanting to know where to order the cookbook, this link should take you there:
https://secure.mlb.com/nym/fan_forum/cookbook_form.jsp
If that doesn’t work for some reason, just go to mets.com, click on “fan forum” and then click on “GourMets Family Cook Book” under the features links to the left.
Hi Amanda, Thank you so much for the information. The link took me right there. That was very nice of you to post the information. Thanks again. Carole

Can someone tell me where I can find the 2008 edition of this cookbook? It’s said to be at Shea, Stop & shop and mets.com but cannot locate it?!?!?
