NOTEBOOK: Lo Duca plays

June
18

Here’s what’s happening with the Mets:

-Paul Lo Duca took BP, said he was fine and is in the line-up.

-GM Omar Minaya said the team hasn’t discussed placing Carlos Beltran on the DL.

-Lastings Milledge has started to run and take soft-toss BP. He’s two weeks away from playing in any rehab games.

-Moises Alou is undergoing rehab therapy in NY. He’s about a week away from going to Florida.

another outlet noted that Dave Williams threw 5 innings in extended spring training. Look for him to begin a rehab assignment sometime soon. If he can return to the pitcher he was he could be useful out of the pen as a replacement for Sele and some of Shoewenweis’ innings. But its a long way to go right now.

Thanks. An oversight on my part. He should make that rehab start this weekend.
