Yup, it happened. The Mets unleashed three weeks worth of frustration tonight. They lead 8-1 in the eighth. Of course, with all that talk about Carlos Beltran’s sore quad, why would he try to score on that … and he did it with an awkward slide. There’s always something.

I think Beltran was trying to make up for not scoring on the previous play. He should’ve realized sooner that the ball wasn’t going to be caught.
Nice – some signs of life in the lineup. Paulie vomes through with a two-out hit, Delgado goes yard and Beltran hits some hard shots – and what’s gotten into Ricky Ledee? Great work by Johnny Maine. Now, I’ll be REALLY impressed if we duplicate the offense tomorrow night against Johan Santana.
