Post-Game Notes: Game #67: Mets 2, Yankees 8

June
17

Orlando Hernandez never got over how he left the Yankees. He’s always too pumped up when he faces them, especially at Yankee Stadium. That’s what happened tonight. He’s now 0-4 overall and 0-3 at Yankee Stadium since leaving the team where he won three World Series rings.

NOTEBOOK

-Paul Lo Duca is day-to-day after leaving the game with a contusion of his left triceps.

-Little signs of life from the Mets’ offense. Only sighs. Six hits tonight. Carlos Beltran and Carlos Delgado each went 1-for-4.

-David Wright’s hitting streak was snapped at 17 games.

-The Mets have lost five consecutive series and are 3-12 in their June Swoon.
