In-Game: Perez sailing; getting help from Gomez

Oliver Perez looks like he’s on the top of his game tonight. Nice play by Carlos Gomez to take away a three-run homer. Neither offense is doing much tonight, so you can’t say the Mets’ line-up changes have done anything.
It’s been Gomez with the bunt and steal and that catch.

John,
I’m curious what you think about Gomez stealing. He looks a lot to me like Reyes a couple years ago, stealing on pure speed. Thanks to perhaps Ricky, Reyes gets much larger leads and better jumps these days. Was wondering if you think we can expect the same from Gomez in the years to come?
Agree about the lineups John, but one thing is for sure. Delgado said before the game he doesn’t like to DH, and I think he was right. But he didn’t have to go get a golden sombrero to prove it.
