The Mets announced today signed nine of their 42 draft picks, second-round pitcher Scott Moviel from St. Edward High School (OH) and fourth-round third baseman Richard Lucas from Wolfson Senior High School (FL).
New York also signed 12th-round pitcher William Morgan from Lewis-Clark State College (ID); 16th-round outfielder Christopher Fournier from George Mason University (VA); 20th-round pitcher Dylan Owen from Francis Marion University (SC); 21st-round pitcher Dillon Gee from the University of Texas-Arlington; 23rd-round catcher Norberto Navarro from Pasco Hernando Community College (FL); 26th-round pitcher Bradley Burns from the University of Oklahoma; and a 38th-round outfielder Brandon Kawal from Concordia University (CA).
Burns will be assigned to Kingsport (R) of the Appalachian League. Morgan, Fournier, Owen, Gee and Kawal will report to Brooklyn (A) of the New York-Penn League. Moviel, Lucas and Navarro will join the rookie-level Gulf Coast Mets.
