The Mets announced today signed nine of their 42 draft picks, second-round pitcher Scott Moviel from St. Edward High School (OH) and fourth-round third baseman Richard Lucas from Wolfson Senior High School (FL).
New York also signed 12th-round pitcher William Morgan from Lewis-Clark State College (ID); 16th-round outfielder Christopher Fournier from George Mason University (VA); 20th-round pitcher Dylan Owen from Francis Marion University (SC); 21st-round pitcher Dillon Gee from the University of Texas-Arlington; 23rd-round catcher Norberto Navarro from Pasco Hernando Community College (FL); 26th-round pitcher Bradley Burns from the University of Oklahoma; and a 38th-round outfielder Brandon Kawal from Concordia University (CA).
Burns will be assigned to Kingsport® of the Appalachian League. Morgan, Fournier, Owen, Gee and Kawal will report to Brooklyn (A) of the New York-Penn League. Moviel, Lucas and Navarro will join the rookie-level Gulf Coast Mets.
