I think Glavine is still better than that. Yeah he got smacked around yesterday but its only 1 game. He went throught a stretch last year where he got hit around pretty good but it didn't last. 4.30 is just 0.12 above NL league average :

I think Glavine is still better than that. Yeah he got smacked around yesterday but its only 1 game. He went throught a stretch last year where he got hit around pretty good but it didn’t last.

He's gone at least six innings in all but three of his starts. He's given up three earned runs or less in all but three of his starts. He's been solid. Today's game? Was ugly. Every now and then, there is going to be an ugly game like this. But more often than not, Tom's going to be solid and give his team a great chance to win (like he has done all season long, minus today's game). I think it's silly to talk about how he's washed up and all that jazz. And if you think all he cares about is 300 wins, then you are sadly mistaken. Great work on the blog, John.
