I do not know L-Girl, but she’ll always be a friend to this blog. “She sent along this link to end interleague play.”:http://www.petitiononline.com/mlb2007/petition.html
L-Girl, it is very much appreciated, and stop by again.
its all just a gimmick for more money.
baseball is a business, and nothing says this clearer than inter league play…
To Andrew (RE: IL play)
Of course it is about money. Everything is about money.
It’s sad to see sometimes, the beauty of playing for the love of the game has gone.
I am not sure if you know the answer to this question, but thought I would ask.
With David Wright’s swing, I am sure that you have seen a difference from last season to this season, especially with his leg kick. Last year, he would seem to lift his leg up, but not off the ground, this year, he seems to lift his leg fully up off the ground as his stride, and he seems to be at a bigger disadvantage to curveball’s, sliders, etc.
I was wondering when Wright was going through his slump, if anyone had asked him about that, and if so what is the reason he is still doing it?
Well, of course it’s about money! But I think MLB could make just as money without it, if they paid attention to what the real fans want.
Thank you so much for signing and posting. Please circulate widely! Good luck with the season from an AL fan.
To L-Girl (RE: interleague)
They could make as much money. When IL first started I was covering the AL, and the buzz was Selig wanted it so he could have the Cubs come in and play his Brewers.
To Matt (RE: Wright’s leg kick)
It is supposed to be a timing mechanism. I don’t think it has really worked. You’re not the first to mention it. I think it is worth talking to him about it.
To John Delcos (re Bud Selig & IL):
I don’t doubt it. Many of us feel it’s all about NYY and NYM ownership, since they seem to reap the highest rewards from IL. But they’re not exactly hurting for cash. We don’t need to mess up the whole schedule for their profit margin.
