Tom Glavine is winless in his last three starts, but the Mets have given him only three runs. Glavine has 10 quality starts in 13 games. With a little luck, he could have 10 wins. What I’m concerned about is the Mets’ hitting in the clutch. They were 3-for-13 with runners in scoring position.
The Mets have left 437 runners in 56 games, which is just under eight a game. To me right now, their inability to hit in the clutch is their biggest problem.
