Take away two innings and Oliver Perez could have won. If the Mets showed any offense with runners in scoring position they could have won.
That Perez lost, and how he lost, have changed my perception of him. When the season began I considered him one of the most significant Mets’ questions. After the Philly game, I was thinking he took a step back.
But after Perez lost today, my thoughts were they wasted a Perez start. It has gotten to the point, for me anyway, that I expect this guy to pitch well every time out. I look at a Perez start almost like a Tom Glavine start – that this is one they should win.
Is your confidence level similar with Perez? If it’s Perez or if it’s anything else, share those thought here. Or, if you have a question, fire away.
