ANALYSIS
Barry Bonds was a non-factor. The keys were Barry Zito made the pitches when he had to and Tom Glavine could not get out Bengie Molina. All the Giants’ runs came after two were out and Molina kept alive the inning. The first was with a walk in the first and the second time was a single in the third on a 10-pitch at-bat.
NOTEBOOK
-Glavine has lost his last two starts, giving up one run total. With any luck, he could have 298 or 299 by now.
-Guillermo Mota is back off the restricted list. He took some boos tonight, which was good to say. At least Mets fans are aware of keeping the hypocrisy meter down.
-Paul Lo Duca got his 1,000th career hit with a seventh-inning double.
-The Mets were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
-Jose Valentin went 3-for-5 in an extended spring training game in Florida.
-The Mets’ errorless streak is at nine games. The franchise record is 12.
