The Mets swept Florida to close out a successful road trip, going 4-2. The biggest things coming out of the trip was Carlos Delgado finding his stroke and John Maine rebounding after two losses. They are 32-17, two games better than they were last year at this time. Pretty impressive considering they didn’t have Pedro Martinez, Orlando Hernandez was out nearly a month, and both Delgado and David Wright were in month-long funks.
-Shawn Green (CT-scan on right foot) and Carlos Gomez (MRI on left hamstring) will have tests tomorrow in NY and be examined by doctors Tuesday. Expect somebody to go on the DL and be replaced by Ben Johnson.
-Moises Alou said he won’t be ready Tuesday to come off the DL (strained left quad), but is pointing toward the weekend.
-Jose Reyes had two hits and a walk, a sign he might be coming out of a week-long slump.
-The Mets haven’t made an error in seven straight days.
