Pedro Martinez bounced into the Mets clubhouse this afternoon, said he was feeling great and even took a jab at Roger Clemens. “Roger doesn’t seem like he’s supposed to be,’’ Martinez said.
The Mets are hoping Martinez will be able to throw off the mound sometime in June, but when they can’t say.
“The hardest think I have to handle is that I feel so good and I’m still wondering why I’m not on the mound,’’ Martinez said.
The reason he feels good is because the Mets are taking their time with this. Martinez has already said he’s not going to go through this again. When in June, nobody knows, but he’s encouraged.
