Still concerned about David Wright? He picked a fine time to pop a couple because Tom Glavine is struggling today.
For all things Yankees, “check out the Yankees blog by my colleague Peter Abraham”:http://yankees.lohudblogs.com/
He’s got the power stroke back. Now hopefully he stays far far away from the HR derby this year and all will be well! :-)
To RmkMets (RE: HR Derby)
He was talking about that before the game, how his swing is shorter now. He will never admit the HR Derby threw him off.
I haven’t been watching the game – out shopping, but Glavine struggling and only giving up 2 runs into the 7th is nice pitching in my view.
Although he’ll never admit it, it’s obvious that the derby did something to his swing. He was a much different player after the break last year and the drop in his power was dramatic.
Scott Schowenweis is awful. So far he has to easily be the worst signing Omar has made during this past offseason (and arguably during his tenure)
Would someone remind me why they gave Schowenweis a multiyear contract.
What was Wagner thinking? Is he trying to see if he can blow a four run lead two years in a row on saturday afternoon against the yanks
Wagner pulled a moronic move there but thankfully it didn’t cost them anything. I guess that’s the tale of two different teams.
It would have been nice if they could have kept the lead up and beaten the Yanks by 6+ but a win is a win and I’ll take it.
“but a win is a win and I’ll take it”.
Me also, I’ll take it.
Nope. He seems to be on his way. the yanks walked him 3 times so that says what they think.
I remember the debate we had earlier, some agreed with me that the all star break changed him for the worse while others defended him.
I guess the quote you mentioned says it all..
