The Mets tried something different in announcing their starting lineups, and I like it.
The PA announcer says: “Batting first, the shortstop … ‘’ Then Jose Reyes pops up on the video board, saying, “Number 7, Jose Reyes.’’
All down the line. Nice twist to something that can get old.
