Kevin Devaney with an update from Shea:
Well, this isn’t going well.
Chan Ho Park looked like Roger Clemens through the first eight batters of the game and suddenly has become, well, Chan Ho Park again.
He gave up five runs  all with two outs  in the third inning and served up two solo homers to Alfredo Amezega and Hanley Ramirez in the fourth. The Mets trail the Marlins 7-0.
If you’re watching, who do you blame? Obviously, the two BP home runs are pinned on Park. But during the five-run third, Park gave up a two-out single to the pitcher and then walked two guys on four pitches each… then the defense turned two would-be outs into runs. Can you blame Park? Not completely, I guess. But Park has bad karma if you ask me.
The Mets are in a 7-run hole, by the way, against a guy who can pitch when he wants to. Could be a long night.
