Tom Glavine (41 years, 18 days old today) and Jamie Moyer (44, 145) have the oldest combined age (85 years, 163 days) of any opposing left-handedstarting pitchers in major league history. The previous oldest was in a game started by the Yankees’ Tommy John (44, 346) and the White Sox’ Jerry Reuss (38, 318) on May 2, 1988; they were a combined 83 years, 299 days old.
Maybe in 85 years and 163 days MLB will right by the fans when it comes to weather.
