Enter Sandman is playing, which means Billy Wagner is coming in, which means this game is over.
The Mets lead 5-3 entering the ninth. Unless Billy Blows It  which he has done against the Phillies a few times  I’ll be back after visiting the clubhouse.
What about closers going to the Hall? If Billy gets this save and I don’t have to rewrite my story, he’ll get my vote.

Don’t say when Billy comes in the deal is done he hasn’t proven that yet. he may be considered one of the best closers in the business but he did not shut the door last year.
In fact I thought duaner was better before he got hurt.
Hopefully Peterson can fix him ( yes yet another project ).
Wagner,Feleciano, Smitty and the Show with 0.00 era’s this year ;-)
Perhaps. But do you think Wagner is automatic?
I don’t have a problem with Feliciano or Smith.
You’re right, Billy isn’t ‘automatic’ in save situations, especially with Utley and Howard coming up. Wagner, though, was sharp with his pitches, aside from the wild pitch, and Howard put a good swing on his double.
I think the bigger story here was Willie having Heilman warm up behind Wagner in the ninth. Never seen that before.
Heilman started to warm up in the 8th. Odds are, since he already started, they figured he should just finish his warm ups. He hadn’t pitched since the weekend. Count it as a side session.
