
Reliever “Duaner Sanchez”:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6948 underwent shoulder surgery at New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery. Mets Medical Director Dr. David Altchek inserted a screw in the coracoid, a small bone in front of his right shoulder to repair the hairline fracture.
The timetable is 6-8 weeks to recover from the surgery followed by a rehab program of another 6-8 weeks.
The team also said reliever Juan Padilla’s right elbow will be examined by Dr. Altchek tomorrow.

hey john a little OT but what is the story on dave williams> i know he had surgery but when is he scuedled to be back? he could always help the ‘pen or even the 5th starters job if pelfrey sturggles

He’s out of his neck brace, but not yet throwing. The last timetable I heard of him was June before he’s back on the mound.
