Dave just wrote and said it wasn’t Shawn Green’s average, but his diminishing skills that bother him. He’s not wrong, there’s no way Green is the player he once was.
If he were even close, he wouldn’t be here. The Dodgers never would have let him get to Arizona.
That he took a .333 average into today’s game doesn’t mean he’ll hit that at the end of the season. The way I look at his average is he’s doing enough things right at the plate to stick with him in hope he’ll regain some pop in his bat.

Exactly. I don’t know what people think Milledge would be doing any different if he were playing.
