Tom Glavine will come out to pitch the sixth having thrown 92 pitches. Remember, he had 30 after the first. We don’t know how this will turn out, but it had a chance to get real ugly.
I think Shawn Green just gave all his naysayers more reason to scream for his benching. To be fair, even if he caught (that routine) flyball, a run probably would have scored anyways…but intead of there being 2 outs, there’s still only 1. And I’m pretty sure that won’t be the last play he screws up out there either
I was a bit surprised they didnt PH for Tommy in the top of the 6th. He had 92 pitches at the time, and bunting away the second out never makes sense to me. The way Feliciano and Smith pitched I don’t know if it would have made and difference if they had started the inning.
Five games down, just one badly played inning so far. :)

To RmkMets (RE: Green play)
Sure, a run would have scored on that play regardless. But, if he had made the catch it would be 3-2 instead of 5-2.
willie gave glavine wayyyyy to much rope in the sixth,he was grinding from the first inning on.
And Green just got back that one run…
