It’s about five hours before first pitch. Got here early to get caught up on some things. They are preparing an American flag for the Opening Day ceremonies. It’s piecemeal—goes from left center to right center. There must be 50 people out there trying to control it.
This isn’t just any Opening Day, you know. This is a battle of 3-0 titans between the Mets and “Atlanta Braves.”:http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=atl After 14 years of winning their division, the Braves were unseated by the Mets. Was that a bad year for them or the start of the decline? On the worry meter, where do the Braves register?

John,
With Oliver Perez set to pitch tonight, and his performance in Spring Training, is there any reason why he could not carry that over to the Regular Season. I know is whole mechanics was a big thing for him and his struggles, but is pretty much fixed now?
Could we see the Oliver Perez this season that has LOADS OF POTENTIONAL
As only the second season of the year, there’s really no pressure here for either team, especially with their respective 3-0 starts.
That being said, last year the Braves’ bullpen was their achilles heel. Since it’s been revamped, the Braves are a legit threat in the division. But I don’t think they’re any more a worry than the Phillies or Marlins – their mystique has simply been stripped away.
Not mention, Beltran, Reyes, and Wright have shown delicious propensities for utterly destroying them. :)
If they sweep the Braves then we can just skip over to October.
I cant wait for tonights game..i hate the braves so much im starting to think its a medical condition. I want to beat them more then anyother team including the cardnals.
they really dont worry me, i feel we are the better team in every aspect. pitching, hitting, deffense. we are just a much deeper, and talented team…
and someone tell me why those douche bags made a replica of our mascot MR Met, and then passed “homer” off as thier own? can you guys be a little original?
