Thanks for your questions and comments you posted on Mets Chat. I hope I touched them all:
Alou and Green: I agree AJ that it was a good sign to see something from Alou and Green out of the chute. A slow start, especially by Green, has the potential to get ugly.
Second in the order: When Lo Duca sits David Wright could move up to second. So could Endy Chavez if he’s off that day.
Hernandez in 2008 rotation: I am sure the Mets would like to upgrade, but Orlando Hernandez is under contract for next year, which is why I have him in the rotation. The same applies to Tom Glavine, who is up in the air about next year.
Wright injury: I would think prayer and panic would be in order if Wright went down. If it were short term they would go with David Newhan. They don’t have anybody ready if he was hurt long term, so maybe Newhan there, too. And, as Benny said, there’s Tatis.

At some point this or next year I wouldn’t be too surprized to see El Duque coming out of the pen. And, the way Wagner has taken on a John Franco-esque nature the past season + 1 game, i.e. making things “interesting” by allowing baserunners, the guy may be the best lights out closer type on the roster. Though he’ll probably serve as a set-up or co-closer if it ever comes to pass.
