We’ve got a few hours before first pitch. Enough time for you to let me know your confidence level for the season. Everybody is up on Opening Day. Actually, I think that is a law.
But, what’s your true feelings?
GO METS!!!!! I foresee myself sleeping very good tonight.
Pujols 2 run HR and a sac fly. Reyes and Wright get 6 hits between them. Delgado, Beltran 2 RBI apiece.
My confidence level is high. I am looking to the Mets winning the first 3 series and hopefully setting a tone for the season.
I’m nervous and excited and I can’t wait to get going!
Hi John –
I’ve always thought that the Opening Day of the baseball season should be a holiday! Looking forward to tonight and the season – heard that Keith is throwing out the first pitch. Hope that ESPN covers all the pre-game stuff – I like that, too.
Hope that Glavine does well tonight – incidentally where is Tom Seaver these days – at home in the vineyard?
I’m a bit nervous about the season. The Mets have a tough schedule, and everyone’s going to be gunning for them this year. They’ve got the talent, but the division looks better (on paper, anyway) than it did last year.
Still, it’s Opening Day… how can you not be an optimist on Opening Day?
It is the law to be up on Opening Day. Enacted in 1802. I guess your day and the Met’s season can look forward to improvements across the board. So what are you wearing if they lost your luggage?
I’m more excited this year then I have been in years. I think we have a better team then people give of us credit for, but it’s not a dominate team so there’s still that narotic Mets fan in me that worries about the “what ifs”.
Go start puts all that to rest, Lets Go Mets
I can not wait. Life begins on opening day!!!! It is time to erase the memories of the Cardinals celebrating at Shea and mocking the Jose chant. Lets Go Mets! Set the tone.
