Chan Ho Park said accepting this was the best thing for him.
-Most every team has its roster and rotations set, and those that don’t probably stink. Sure, Park might have taken a release and signed with Washington where he’d play for a miserable team.
-Park needs to build himself back up and New Orleans is the place to do it.
-Park made points with the organization by trying the bullpen and accepting the option. That will help him in the future.
-The Mets started 13 different pitchers last year. What’s the over-under on that this season? He knows if he takes his time, works himself back, that he could be starting for a playoff team later this summer.
-Plus, he’s getting a boat load of money. Why not?
-And, maybe he likes jazz and creole food. (Gotta consider all the options).
