Chan Ho Park is done for the day with five strikeouts in three hitless innings. I don’t see how they can leave him off.
I also don’t see how they can put Ambiorix Burgos on right now. He’s just all over the place.
will Park be traded?
What’s up with Willie shaking Burgos’ hand after his lackluster one inning performance. I hope it wasn’t congratulations on winning a spot. We have already learned that Willie and Omar make decisions before the game and don’t tell players until after they pitch. Every microphone should be directed toward Chan Ho Park right now, because whenever he pitches well he gets bad news around here.
why do you want to trade the only real viable bench pitcher we have? You know someone is going down..
I don’t know what a bench pircher is? Help please….
very odd that Park goes 3 innings. If he’s a reliever on the Mets why waste him? If he’s being showcased for a trade when not go 5 or 6? Very strange.
Gary just said Pelfrey would pitch in Tampa tomorrow and then go back to extended spring training. Can the Mets spare his option by not sending him to AAA ?
I’m thinking of the scene in Major League where the players found out they were cut when they found red ribbons taped to the inside of their lockers. Is Lastings this year’s Willie Mays Hays?
Park leads the team in strikeouts and his ERA is almost two points lower than Burgos. He gives up less hits and can pitch anywhere from one hitter – six innings. Burgos has options which gives the team options.
Word is Burgos made it, Park and Adkins to the minors. The only thing I can figure is that Park really doesn’t want to be in the ‘pen, and that the Mets are trying to trade him per his request. (I doubt they would be adverising the fact if they are).
If so too bad the Nats are in our division, I’m sure they would take him.
