First baseman “Carlos Delgado”:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5178 just returned from camp after being in Puerto Rico for the birth of his son, Carlos Antonio.
Delgado’s smile is one of the widest of the Mets to begin with and it was really broad today.
Complications forced the baby to be delivered by C-Section and he didn’t leave the hospital until yesterday afternoon.
“It’s really good to be a dad,” Delgado said.
Delgado didn’t go to Vero Beach for the Dodgers game, but stayed back to play in a minor league game where he could get more at-bats.
