In response to your questions on Mets Chat:
Oliver Perez: I think he has the potential to be the most important Met this season. If he pitches well a lot of problems will be solved.
Shawn Green: He’s always been a slow starter. Not sure what kind of leash the Mets will give him. It certainly has to be more than a couple of weeks.
Lastings Milledge: Don’t know how long he will be out. If they meant what they said about giving him at-bats, then they can’t bounce him up and down.
Park and Sele: No guarantees on either in the pen. They’ll worry about Sanchez and Mota later. I wouldn’t be counting on Sanchez anytime soon. And, what has Mota done to warrant bumping somebody to make room for him?
Orlando Hernandez: The decision on the rotation order hasn’t been made, yet. They will do everything possible to keep Glavine in order, but no promises after that.
Duaner Sanchez: The delay can’t be good news.

John, totally agree on the Sanchez news. Your assignment for today is to get the info. Anyone who can hold up McDonald’s for $.03 ( figuratively, not literally) should be able to handle this.

You’re the best!!!!!
I thought I remembered reading somewhere that Park, Sele, and Smith were all told they’d be on the 25 man. Doesn’t that mean Park and Sele are locks for the pen (if they accept)?
What has Mota done to bump someone out of the pen? How about signing a 2 year, 5 million dollar contract?
