“Lastings Milledge”:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=7706 says his right hand is still sore and is looking at Wednesday for getting back in the lineup. As far as this setting him back in terms of making the Opening Day roster, he said: “What’s going to happen is going to happen. I will definitely be ready for Opening Day in New Orleans.”
Milledge has been hit several times by pitches on his right hand and is looking into a protective pad.

John, did Milledge really say New Orleans? If so, who makes the team instead?
John,
I meant to write this last night, but got busy. I was watching the game last night replayed on SNY. They brought in Omar for an inning who basically stated that they don’t want want Milledge being a fourth or fifth outfielder. They want him to go to New Orleans and have some at bats.

To Kevin (RE: New Orleans)
Yes, he really did say that. I think he knows. What Seth pointed out is true, they want him to get regular at-bats.
