Hi John -

This is a copy of what I wrote to CoxCable, SNY and The New York Mets.

To – Cox Cable, SNY, The New York Mets:

Major League Baseball begins next week and your business decision not to provide SNY to thousands of Connecticut families again this season is a disgrace. These families have children who will be unable to see the Mets on television for the second season in a row. These children could have been your future customers.

Finding ways to bring services to your customers should be your goal, not just finding ways to get them to pay you more dollars. By your adhering to your rigid corporate ‘rights’ you are depriving Connecticut residents of family pleasure and losing a whole generation of fans.

Perhaps you can live with these decisions as you increase the costs to your customers while you decrease coverage and your corporate profits soar. We can only hope that the days of your cable monopolies are numbered and competition will bring common sense. MLB needs to realize this, and the Senate will be addressing this issue in hearings that start tomorrow.

Or, perhaps you will realize that good customer service is important now.

Why not do the right thing this year?

I personally have confidence in Mota being as good as he was for the Mets in 2006. His career track record suggests that, the Mets version of Mota is the REAL Mota and the Indians version is the abberation.
I also refuse to believe that steroids, or whatever the hell he took gave him super magical powers that allowed to lower his ERA by 5.21! I know its convinient but I just don't think steroids can effect a pitcher like that.
Maybe Mota is just a National League pitcher?

50 games is perfect. I'm not going to say he's going to make a huge impact but he is going to make add incredible depth and bring comfort.
