March 26: Holding a benefit for McDonald’s

I went through the McDonald’s drive thru for an Egg McMuffin.
I was supposed to get $2.98 in change back, but the guy said, “I’m shorting you three cents.’’
“Why?” was my quick response.
Ronald McDonald: “I don’t have three pennies in my drawer.’’
Me: “Well go get them. Well go get them, what’s the problem?’’
Ronald: “I would have to get my manager.’’
Me: “Why don’t you just give me three bucks back, then?’’
Ronald: “I can’t do that.’’
Me: “McDonald’s can’t cough up an extra two cents? You must be joking. I would normally let it slide, but since you guys are going cheap on me, I won’t. I’ll just stay here until this multi-billion dollar corporation can come up with three pennies.’’
McDonald’s doesn’t want their drive-thru backed up. So he got it. And, I was wondering: Multiply three cents by billions served and what do you get?
