I think I would be a little ticked if I wasn’t told about the shift to the bullpen. It seems we now have 2 pitchers, (Park and Sele) that really don’t want to be relievers. With the acknowledged shortage of starters on the market, they may not be so quick to accept the long relief rolls offered by the Mets.
To Jim Fels (RE: Park/Sele)
After hearing Willie’s explanation, I understand not telling him before what his thinking was. Park met with the powers after the game and it was all laid out to him.
Funny, it has been speculated for over a week now what could happen. Park’s a veteran. It shouldn’t have come as that big a shock to him that this could happen.
