March 24: In-Game: Park sharp; leaves after three

Nine up, nine down for Chan Ho Park. Time is running out for him to make his case and he knows it.
Park didn’t come out for the fourth. The Mets said there is no injury and Willie Randolph will address his departure after the game.
It couldn’t be that Park told the Mets he wouldn’t go out for another inning unless he wanted a major league contract? Just joking, but stranger things have happened.

Chan Ho is not happy right now!
What do you think happened to Park?
To Kevin (RE: Park)
I wish I knew. I was only joking about the contract. The Mets say there was no injury. I would hate to make an irresponsible guess.
Perhaps he found out that he’s going to the pen, John? It’s kind of late in ST for the Mets to cut him, isn’t it?
To DG (RE: Park)
Willie has been saying he wouldn’t make a decision until the last week. He wouldn’t make it today, before Mike Pelfrey pitches. And, they certainly wouldn’t tell him anything like that during the game.
