David Wright is asking fans to vote for the song that should be played when he comes to the plate this year. From now until March 28 you can cast your vote on mets.com.
The top 20 songs will be selected, and from there you can vote from April 2 to 6. Four will be chosen to be played on a rotating basis.
Last year, he batted .313 at Shea to the tunes of “Brass Monkey’’ by the Beastie Boys; “We Right Here’’ by DMX and “Bounce to the Ounce’’ by Zapp.

I’ve always been partial to the Theme to the A-Team, but then again I’m showing my age.
Greg…I’m partial to the A-Team theme as well. But then again Welcome To The Jungle strikes my fancy as well.
How is Rage Against the Machine not on that list? They’re only perhaps the best pump-up music. Ever.
How about any of their following songs:
Bulls on Parade
Guerrilla Radio
People of the Sun
Come on!
Kelly Clarkson!
Two “p’s” in Zapp, John.
I totally agree with the Rage suggestion! That’s what I was thinking and specifically, their cover of Bruce’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad.”
yeah People Of The Sun would be excellent.
But if i have to vote from that list…Yellow Ledbetter—Pearl Jam
...or Tenth Avenue Freezout—Bruce.
didnt see that one earlier!
“Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
How about Enter Sandman, just kidding! I would like to propose Thunderstruck by AC/DC.
“Won’t Get Fooled Again” would probably be a better one for Beltran. We know why. I’m not sure how well that would play as a 10-15 second selection though. “Feel Good, Inc.” is a pretty good choice for Wright, I think.
Most of the song doesn’t really fit, but the intro to Mysterious Ways by U2 is pretty awesome walk-up-to-bat music.
