Greetings from Vero Beach … yet another locale that long loved the Dodgers only to be jilted.
Here’s what’s going on so far today:
-Tom Glavine threw 90 pitches in a minor league simulated game this afternoon. Glavine got his work in, but said he wasn’t able to set-up minor league hitters as he would major league hitters. When asked what his thoughts were heading in to his last week ever in spring training, Glavine said, “maybe it is … maybe it isn’t.”
-Duaner Sanchez will throw off the mound tomorrow. That’s going to draw some attention from the brass.
-Oliver Perez goes tonight vs. LA. Manager Willie Randolph said he’s been pleased with Perez’s spring, adding he fed off the momentum from last year’s postseason.
-Aaron Sele starts tomorrow against Atlanta. With a strong game, it wouldn’t be surprising if he stuck as the long man. The job was Jorge Sosa’s for the taking, but he’s spitting the bit.
