Washington 13, METS 1
Baltimore 9, METS 0
A bad day all around if you’re a fifth-starter candidate for the Mets unless you’re Mike Pelfrey.
****
Duaner Sanchez threw off the front slope of the mound and should get on top next week.
****
Orlando Hernandez, Ambiorix Burgos and Lino Urdaneta will work for the Mets tomorrow against St. Louis.
****
It was just a miserable day for the Mets. Good day to watch college hoops.

Hmmmmm…..college hoops. Are any of your teams doing well there?
To Pheebs (RE: hoops)
Ohio State pulled one out today. Didn’t enter bracket this year.
John –
It was a miserable day for the Mets, so much so that I switched and watched the very professional Andy Pettitte just cruise for 5 innings on the mound.
As for the college hoops, it was nice to see the Georgetown second generation guys – Thompson and Ewing – doing well.
D.J. Strawberry, Jr. played well too for Maryland and his team just missed at the end. (like Andrew Guiliani who is now on the Duke Golf team, D.J. was raised by his Mom and has her values)
PS – Still alive in the NCAA final as long as Thompson and Ewing continue their winning ways.
