Good morning. Hung out a little bit at the minor league camp this morning. It’s always fun to go down there. The guys are so enthusiastic. Slow so far today. Half the team is in Lauderdale. The other half stayed back.
They are playing the Nationals in St. Lucie. Chan Ho Park goes again. He’s been all right. Nothing special. For most teams, that defines the fifth starter. Actually, for most teams that defines the entire rotation.
Here’s what’s going on:
Duaner Sanchez threw off the front of the mound slope this morning. Next week he climbs on top. Rick Peterson was encouraged; Sanchez said his shoulder is feeling fine.

Ambiorix Burgos said he has no doubts he’ll make the team. Others aren’t so sure. Joe Smith is looking pretty good. Smith in Lauderdale today. Burgos recovering from the whiplash after watching Hanley Ramirez’s ball fly out of the park.
Read about Burgos tomorrow in The Journal News.
****
Mets still waiting on Ruben Sierra to make a decision on the minor leagues.

The players have Monday off, but John Maine and Billy Wagner will throw that day.

Looks, sounds, feels like an Armando Benitez. I’ll take Jon Adkins over that.
Hey Delcos, what about my main man Line-o? I said it before Burgos imploded the other night and I’ll say it again: Line-o is going to make this team.
