March 09: Mets lineup — Delgado not in it

March
9

Here’s the Mets’ lineup today against Detroit. Carlos Delgado isn’t in it

SS Jose Reyes
3B David Wright
CF Carlos Beltran
LF Moises Alou
2B Damion Easley
1B Shawn Green
RF Lastings Milledge
DH Ben Johnson
C Ramon Castro
RHP John Maine

Delgado took batting practice and played some catch, but decided he still needs more time.

“I guess,” he said when asked if tomorrow was a possibility. “We’ll see how it is in the morning.”

The Mets are at Viera, Fla., tomorrow, which is another long ride. I’m guessing he’ll play Sunday at home.
