GAME OVERVIEW: Shawn Green got his first hit of the season. … The defense was sloppy with three errors. … The Mets are leaving a lot of guys on base. Pitching analysis: Hernandez got the ball up, but gets a pass in his first appearance. … Pelfrey was outstanding, getting 8 of 9 outs on groundballs. … Vargas said he needs to spot his fastball better. … Schoeneweis did what he is supposed to. … Smith was again very good, but is there a spot for him?

I did not see the game but aside from the groundouts..why else do you say Pelfrey looked outstanding. I mean he did give up two runs didnt he? Across 9 innings thats a 6 era which aint spectacular.
As an aside, I believe you that he looked good, I would just like to hear why.
To David (RE: Pelfrey)
He was good in that he kept his slider, a secondary pitch consistently down in the zone. That's something he needs to do if he's going to start. The runs were unearned so I can't hold that against him.
